HIGHLIGHTS IN BRISTOL
Highlights are woven through the hair in fine foils, from the root, for brightness that feels even and considered. At our Clifton salon every highlight is placed for your hair, your skin tone and the way you want it to grow out, then glossed with a bespoke toner and finished by hand. It is the appointment for blondes who want to stay bright, brunettes looking for lift, and anyone ready to soften their greys without committing to a full colour.

GREY BLENDING WITH HIGHLIGHTS
If your greys are coming through faster than you would like, highlights blend them into brightness instead of covering them with a solid root. The regrowth line becomes soft and grows out gently, so many clients find they need fewer appointments, not more. We use Davines colour, which is gentle on hair that is changing in texture, and your stylist will talk you through the options at your consultation.
HIGHLIGHTS OR BALAYAGE?
Highlights start at the root in fine foils, for even brightness from the parting down. Balayage is painted freehand through the lengths for a softer, lived-in fade. If you are not sure which suits you, bring a few photos of colour you love and we will recommend one, or a blend of the two.
WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY
HIGHLIGHTS QUESTIONS
How much are highlights in Bristol? At Bonomini, half head highlights start from £100 and full head highlights from £130. A T-section is from £75, and a toner with your colour is from £30. The final price depends on your hair length, thickness and the level of your stylist, which we confirm at your consultation.
What is the difference between highlights and balayage? Highlights are placed in foils from the root in a regular pattern, for even, all-over brightness. Balayage is painted freehand through the mid-lengths and ends, for a softer fade that grows out with no obvious line.
Can highlights cover grey hair? They blend it rather than cover it. Fine highlights from the root soften greys into brightness, so the regrowth line is much less obvious. For complete coverage, a full head or regrowth colour is the better choice.
How often do highlights need doing? Most clients come back every 8 to 12 weeks. A T-section or a toner in between keeps the parting fresh and stops brassiness.
Do I need a patch test? Yes. Every new colour client needs a skin test 48 hours before their first colour appointment.
What products do we use? We are an exclusive Davines salon. Every colour, treatment and finish is crafted with Davines, the B Corp certified Italian house, so your hair is cared for at every step.
