Here at Bonomini Hair Salon Bristol were getting super excited about Festival season. We’ll be getting our fav festival hairstyles on and are waiting to see which looks rock this year. We are known in Bristol as one of the best salons for creating beautiful, laid back, natural looking hair and for our Boho influenced styles. So as Festival Season has officially begun with Coachella leading the way for this year’s festival fashion, we thought we’d share some of our favourite looks. It seems whilst previous festival seasons have been all about loose fishtail braids and colourful lipstick, 2017’s style guide looks to be more sophisticated; championing fresh skin and low-key up-dos made pretty with fresh cut flowers and sparkly accessories. Whether you’re hitting Glastonbury, Love box or just want to join the bohemian vibes for the summer, hair needs to be practical but eccentric, here’s what’ll be inspiring us…
Firstly, one of our own Bonomini Bristol creations – Hair rings, glitter, plaits and waves. Nothing more to say…
The Double Top Knot
As seen on Kendall Jenner, Poppy Delevingne’s and Chiara Ferragni. Either split hair into two and wrap into two high knots or leave out some casual waves.
(This look is great for day three when you’ve given up on the dry shampoo). Talking of Dry shampoo, this is even better- make sure you pack a bottle of Davines ‘This is a dry texturizer’.
For an instant full-bodied look, this creates texture with a ruffled effect. Use it to restyle your hair without washing, it doesn’t stick or weigh your hair down.
We love Lucy Hale’s Flower Crown…But we love this crystal crown more…
Pops of colour
Play with hints of colour through your braids or on the ends of your hair. Use temporary colours and have some fun… here’s what we’re rocking in the salon MASK 12.11 + 10.0 + a dollop of 4.22 = Ashy, summery toner for Becky by Lori @bonominihair
The Boxer braids and cornrows took Instagram by storm, no wonder we always end up seeing loads at music festivals.
Top tips from the Bristol Bonomini team:
If you’re planning on getting any sleep, twist hair up into a loose knot and in the morning shake it out, this will stop your hair from getting too tangled.
Prep your hair for the festival weekend. Do a couple of deep hydrating treatments a few weeks before the festival and for a for weeks after to repair from any environmental damage like the sun.
And if all that hair inspiration (or the weather) fails you, then follow Cara’s lead and work a classic festival look; the tousled hair and wide-brim hat.
